Our Monumental Madrid & Retiro tour begins in the heart of the city (Calle Escalinata, 10), next to the Plaza de la Ópera. From there, we’ll head to Calle Factor to enjoy one of the best panoramic views of the Royal Palace and the Almudena Cathedral.
We’ll continue into the medieval past at Plaza de la Villa and the grand Plaza Mayor, before venturing into the bohemian charm of the Literary Quarter. We’ll pass by the historic Casa Alberto and Calle Cervantes, feeling the spirit of the Spanish Golden Age. After crossing the Paseo del Prado, past the Royal Spanish Academy and the Prado Museum, we’ll enter Retiro Park. In this urban oasis, we’ll discover its best-kept secrets: the enigmatic statue of the Fallen Angel, the fragrance of the Rose Garden, the elegance of the Cecilio Rodríguez Gardens, and the dreamlike architecture of the Crystal Palace.
