Want to discover a different side of the capital?
Our tour invites you to explore Madrid Río, a spectacular linear park along the banks of the Manzanares River that blends historical grandeur with cutting-edge urban design.
The experience begins at our headquarters at Calle Escalinata, 10. After a brief explanation of two of Madrid’s most iconic landmarks, the Royal Palace and the Almudena Cathedral, we’ll descend the Cuesta de la Vega towards the riverbed. Along the way, we’ll discover the architectural significance and legends of the city’s three great historic bridges: the Puente del Rey (1816), the Puente de Segovia (1564), and the monumental Puente de Toledo (1732).
Next, we’ll venture into the Arganzuela Park to admire its famous spiral footbridge, designed in 2008 by French architect Dominique Perrault, as well as the lively urban beach area. During the tour, we’ll also admire the exterior façade of Matadero Madrid, an impressive complex of 10 industrial pavilions now transformed into a vibrant cultural and leisure center.
On our way back to Plaza de la Ópera, we’ll admire the charming Hermitage of the Virgin of the Port (rebuilt after the Spanish Civil War) and enjoy a panoramic view of the Puerta de San Vicente, a monumental neoclassical replica of Sabatini’s original design.
Book your spot and be amazed by the green lung that transformed Madrid!
